I wonder if anyone really does this anymore.  I any case I have decided that one of the thing that I am going to start doing again is doing an artist feature.  Not every month like I use to but every once and a while especially when I come across someones work that I think is particularly outstanding.

The first Featured artist of 2012 is *myrson

*myrson is by is his own definition a traditional artist who resides in Hungary.  A lot of his current work is done in digital painting.  His work encompasses mostly if not entirely portraiture.  His style borders on the realistic, his subject seeming so real you feel you could reach out and touch them.  But this alone is not what I feel sets *myrson apart from other artist like himself.  The thing that sets him apart from other is the added surrealist element he puts into the paintings.  This element is not just one thing he does to the work rather he has several techniques he employs.  Sometimes it is just simply an emotionless gaze the subject has in the work.  Other time there are points in the work with the subject literally begins to disappear as if they are just a ghost caught in the painting.  His tones and colors have a bright but muted quality so as not offend the eye.  I encourage all to go and check out his gallery below you can fined a small sampling of his work.
